Glee Season 6 Spoilers: Blaine, Sam, and Mr. Schuester Land “Surprising New Gigs” in Ohio (VIDEO)

The Glee cast has finally started work on the show’s sixth and final season with many cast members already hard at work in the recording studio belting out some songs for the show’s final 13 episodes. The actual filming won’t start until next week, but a new press release straight from FOX is loaded with some great Season 6 intel. Want to know what Blaine (Darren Criss), Sam (Chord Overstreet), and Mr. Schuester (Matthew Morrison) will be up to next year? Read on to find out!

Per TVLine, the aforementioned trio have each found “surprising new gigs” in their native Lima, Ohio. While no specifics about these new jobs have been confirmed, rumor has it that Mr. Schue will be leading Vocal Adrenaline, while Blaine will take control of The Warblers. And Sam, well, we’ll just have to wait and see what he’s up to.

If Mr. Schue and Blaine’s new jobs are the real deal, that should make for an interesting dynamic to say the least, since former Broadway baby Rachel (Lea Michele) will also be in Lima rebooting the New Directions.

Though we aren’t positive that Mr. Schue and Blaine are set to head up Vocal Adrenaline and The Warblers respectively, we do know that New Directions’ two biggest rivals will come into play in the final season, which Jane Lynch (Sue) hinted at back in June. “I think we’re going to have some surprises about who’s going to be the choir director of The Warblers and who will be the choir director of Vocal Adrenaline,” she noted. “I think it’ll be a big surprise.”

What’s more? Nolan Funk (Hunter Clarington) took a “Warbler selfie” with Darren earlier this month, hinting that something is going on over at Dalton Academy.

Do you think that Mr. Schue and Blaine are headed to Vocal Adrenaline and The Warblers respectively? Tell us your thoughts below!

Glee Season 5 airs Tuesday nights on FOX at 8 p.m. ET.
