Bachelor in Paradise

Chris Harrison Is Shocked by Cody Sattler and Michelle Money’s Coupling

No one on Bachelor in Paradise seems more surprised that Michelle Money and Cody Sattler are hitting it off than Michelle herself. In fact, the single mama still seems a little wary of C.Satts, his shiny, happy biceps, and his propensity for falling in love so fast. Who else is shocked by the pairing? Chris Harrison, who by now should be unshockable.

In an interview with TV Guide, the matchmaker elevated the duo to epic proportions, saying “Cody and Michelle are the most surprising couple ever in the history of the show.” In the history of the show? That’s a tall order, but one the pairing may have filled.

Chris reveals that M-squared’s hesitation with the relationship had to do with Cody-Code’s sunny disposition, which can come across as a little too rainbows and butterflies. “It threw Michelle off a bit, like, this guy can’t be real. Michelle is pretty down-to-earth and has a good bulls—t meter, and I think it was off the charts when he first arrived. But this is him, nothing but sunny days and happy-go-lucky, and he’s sweeping her off her feet.”

The host goes on to say that he advised Michelle to just go with the flow on this one, and that he’s happy with the results. “I told her to see where this goes and she did. I have to give her credit. It’s been fun to watch.”

Chris doesn’t reveal whether their union makes it to the end of BiP or not, but does say that Clare Crawley missed out on a good thing when she passed up Cody in favor of Zack Kalter. “Clare is going to be kicking her own ass on this one.”

Seeing how things ended with Zack during Episode 5, we’re thinking Chris may be right on that point… Sigh. Sorry ladies — there’s only so much Cody to go around!

Do you think Cody and Michelle are an odd pairing or oddly adorable? Tell us in the comments.
