The Vampire Diaries Season 6, Episode 3 — 10 Burning Questions

Did you enjoy The Vampire Diaries Season 6, Episode 3 (“Welcome to Paradise”) as much as we did? The most recent TVD installment gave us a little bit of everything: pie, murder, and college shenanigans. It also left us with quite a few mysteries to solve.

Here are 10 burning questions from Season 6, Episode 3.

Is Stefan really helping Tripp? The episode ended on quite a cliffhanger: Stefan teaming up with Tripp to take Enzo out. Stefan revealed that they’re both from Founding Families, implying that wants to be part of the Vampire Cleanup Campaign Tripp has going on. Is Stefan for real, or did he just care about taking out Enzo?

How much does Sarah know? We now know that Sarah remembers everything that happened to her at the fangs of Elena — not to mention Matt’s betrayal and Caroline’s compulsion. This is quite unsettling considering Sarah then decided it was a good idea to start making out with Jeremy, aka the brother of the vampire who nearly killed her. What’s Sarah’s game? And how much does she know?

Where did Kai come from? We have a lot of questions when it comes to Kai, the slightly murderous dude who is stuck in 90s purgatory with Bamon. Where did he come from? How long has he been there? Does he know a way to escape? Those are the first three.

Can Kai be trusted? Probably not.

How will Enzo escape? We’re pretty sure Enzo is going to survive the considerable efforts to kill him, but how? Will Caroline come to his rescue? Are they still even friends? Or will Enzo find a way out of this jam the traditional way: by himself.

What does Elena remember? We’re still confused about the mechanics of Alaric’s compulsion to make Elena forget that she loved Damon. Why does she think she and Stefan broke up? And, if she cared about Damon as a friend before she fell in love with him, how is she so callous about his death?

Will Stefan return to Savannah? When Stefan left his new hometown, he seemed intent on returning, compelling his jerk of a boss to give him a few days off. Is this still his plan? Or did Caroline plea to stay get through his thick skull?

How far does Tripp’s reach stretch? What is Tripp’s endgame — you know, past burning all vampires to mulch-like consistency? And how many people know of his plan? Matt has been training with him all summer, but didn’t realize he was part of a vampire-hunting gang. (Sweet, sweet Matt.) What of the other fresh-faced recruits?

Does Elena like Liam? Now that Elena has forgotten the love and sorrow of her romance with Damon, she seems much more open to starting a new fling. Enter Liam, the cute-bragger who volunteers at the hospital with our ingenue. They shared a sexy kiss at the swimming hole party, and Elena seemed to like it. Will this grow into something more?

Do you ship Liv and Tyler? OK, this is more our question than one presented by the show, but something is definitely happening between these two and we think we like? Now, let’s get started on a love interest for Luke. OK, show?
