The Voice Season 8 Adds Mentors Nick Jonas, Meghan Trainor, Ellie Goulding, and Lionel Richie

Good news fans of The Voice! The popular NBC singing competition series is adding some BIG names when the show returns for its 8th season on Monday, February 23. Eight seasons! Can you even believe it? But we digress. So who can we look forward to watching week after week?

Not only will team leader Christina Aguilera return after taking two seasons off to give birth to her second daughter, Summer Rain, but a whole new host of celebrity mentors will join the cast when the show returns.

According to Us Weekly, Lionel Richie will mentor Team Pharrell Williams, Ellie Goulding will help Team Adam Levine, Nick Jonas will help out Team Christina Aguilera, and Meghan Trainor will handle Team Blake Shelton. Holy lineup, Batman!

Of the season’s mentors, only Lionel Richie has been on the show before. The “Say You, Say Me” singer, 65, helped Team Christina in Season 2. It’s almost like a reunion show!

Mentors are featured during the battle round stage of the singing competition, which follows the blind auditions. And this season’s mentors are some of the best performers around. We can’t wait!

Are you excited about the big names coming to The Voice? Tell us who you’re most looking forward to seeing in the comments.
