Neverland Ranch May Turn Into a Sexual Assault Rehab Center — Report

Now that Michael Jackson is gone, the King of Pop’s grandiose Neverland Ranch estate is up for grabs (for up to $75 million no less!). Page Six reports that there are three potential buyers looking to snatch up the property and one would like to take its controversial past and make it a positive place for children who were sexually abused.

A source tells The New York Post, a local businessman offered “in the neighborhood of $40 million” with a goal of using the space to “help children in a serene setting recover from the trauma of sex abuse.”

“The plan is to have children come there for treatment, and they will also hire trained therapists who would help the victims through the use of equine-assisted therapy, which works to improve the kids’ self-esteem, and it helps them to become more outgoing,” said the source.  Meanwhile on the other end of the spectrum are potential bidders who would like to convert the estate into a Graceland-like “Jackoland” shrine or a state park.

Hedge fund Colony Capital seized control of the ranch from Michael in 2008 — a year before his untimely death — due to the pop icon’s mounting debts.

While it’s not known what will ultimately happen to the estate, die hard fans are pretty anxious to find out what will become of the iconic property.

What do you think should happen to the Neverland Ranch? Sound off in the comments below!
