Mariah Carey

Mariah Carey’s Fans Accuse Her of Photoshopping New Album Cover (VIDEO)

Seeing as Mariah Carey’s next album will be a retread of her 18 #1 singles, why wouldn’t she recreate her iconic cover from the original #1’s album from the ‘90s? On April 12, Mariah announced that she will be releasing #1 to Infinity on May 18 — her first album since joining L.A. Reid at Epic Records last month. All good news for the Lambily — the only problem? Some are saying the artwork is a too good to be true...

Now, most Mariah fans are aware that the songstress is no stranger to tweaking a photo here and there to improve her appearance, and by no means is she the only culprit in the music industry. But due to the eerie similarity to Mimi’s original shot from 17 years ago, many are taking to social media to say the Photoshopping has gone too far.

On the 2015 album, the 45-year-old singer looks super skinny and sexy in a plunging black dress emphasizing her long legs, and strappy black heels. Meanwhile, her 1998 cover had her in a white, cleavage-baring dress with white strappy heels. This hot mama isn’t letting time cramp her signature style!

But the comments largely tell another story. One fan writes, “Mariah NO! Don't photoshop, you obviously don't have that body, which makes this soooooo ridiculous,” while another adds, “lmfao they didn't even use photoshop it's a time machine to 20 years ago.”

Despite all that, the recently-single gal — whose divorce from Nick Cannon will likely be finalized any day now — is not bothered by the negative reactions. In fact, judging by her recent tweet below, she’s having some fun with the media attention!

Whatever the case may be on the photo editing front, there’s no debate that people are excited about this release, which will feature the 18 chart toppers, as well as a fresh self-produced single, “Infinity.” And new music isn’t the only thing to look forward to from Mimi next month —
her Las Vegas residency at The Colosseum at Caesar’s Palace kicks off May 6. This chanteuse isn’t so elusive anymore, and we’re loving it!
