Erica Dixon and Vivica A. Fox Star in Blaq Gold Mini-Series (VIDEO)
So remember several months ago when we saw Love & Hip Hop Atlantastar Erica Dixon cozying up to Independence Day actress Vivica A. Fox on Instagram? Well, while we weren’t sure what these two gals were cooking up at the time, it looks like we know now: a dramatic mini-series called Blaq Gold.
Erica took to her Instagram on May 13 to promote the mini-series, which appears to be in search of funding.
According to the Blaq Gold Indiegogo site, the mini-series “addresses a variety topics including, Politics, Crime, Racism, Domestic Violence, Bullying, Homophobia, Loyalty, Sexism, Love, Hate, etc. This controversial series will have your coffee break chat and social media on fire! This episodic drama will take you on a journey that reveals the weaknesses and resilience of the individuals that run this city, and highlight the rewards and consequences of the choices they make!”
The site for the show says Vivica is plying Mayor Morgan Hardaway, a charcter who “redefines the definition of a strong woman and respected leader.” She is described as someone who is “fair,” “intelligent,” “tenacious,” and “valiant” and who doesn’t let her pride get in the way of her gutsy approach as a politician.
Erica plays Attorney Montana Price, a recent law school graduate from Slidell, Louisiana who left her small town (and secretive past) behind for the big city of Atlanta.
As you can see from the clip above, Erica’s character seems to be tough as nails — much like the off-screen persona we get a hint of every Monday night.
Also starring in the show is boxer Roy Jones Jr. as Hollywood action hero, Mercury Edwards, and Martin’s Tommy Ford as Judge Andrew Billups.
