It’s less than two months away from Teen Mom 2’s Season 6 premiere and, as always, we’re preparing for all the drama Jenelle Evans and the rest of the ladies will be bringing to the table. With all that’s been going on with Jenelle’s tumultuous relationship with Nathan Griffith, will fans get a taste of that on the show?
“It’s going good,” Jenelle told Wetpaint exclusively at OK! Magazine’s So Sexy Party on May 13 when asked about how filming was going. “Stressful as usual, but it’s going good.”
Jenelle teases that fans will get to see “a lot of controversial issues” and “a lot” of them will “definitely” be with her and Nathan. If you need a refresher on what’s been going on between these two on-again-off-again lovebirds, brace yourself and press on.
Nathan proposed to Jenelle just after the New Year while they were on a tropical vacation. When they got back to the real world, things fell apart as Nathan was arrested for supposedly getting violent with Jenelle and those charges have since been dropped.
Following the incident, Nathan begged for Jenelle back, Jenelle begged for Nathan back, plans for reconciliation in Puerto Rico fell through, Nathan rebounded with a new girl, Jenelle covered up her “Nathan” tattoo, Jenelle ignored Nathan’s recent attempts to get back together, and now Nathan has reportedly moved out. Phew, right?
All the Nathan drama aside, though, should fans expect as much drama as Teen Mom OG has been delivering this season? Not according to Jenelle!
“We all get along,” Jenelle said of her co-stars Chelsea Houska, Kailyn Lowry, and Leah Messer. “We don’t have a problem with each other and we try to help each other as much as we can — even if we have an issue.”
Speaking of issues and Teen Mom OG, what does Jenelle think about Maci Bookout’s decision to pull son Bentley from filming to keep him off a show that features the likes of Farrah Abraham — who has made what some may consider controversial career choices.
“I totally understand where Maci is coming from, but everyone has different morals and those are Maci’s morals,” Jenelle weighed in. “I think that anyone has their own job that they choose to do. Farrah chose to do that job, that’s her job, and you can’t put her down for that. I mean, some people don’t like morticians. It’s whatever they decide to do and you can’t judge them based on their career.”
Teen Mom 2 Season 6 premieres Thursday, July 9, on MTV.
