Melisandre Has an Important Role on Game of Thrones Season 6: Resurrection Hint?
Stannis may be gone on Game of Thrones (may be, we haven’t given up hope!), but Melisandre (Carice van Houten) is still around. She showed up at the Wall in the Season 5 finale right before you know what happened to Jon Snow (Kit Harington), a guy in whom she had shown some interest. But with no main characters left at the Wall to serve, will Melisandre’s role in Season 6 be less-important than in seasons’ past? Quite the opposite, according to Carice van Houten, who hints that Mel’s role in Season 6 could be more significant than ever — and also may include a certain bastard of Winterfell.
“You’ve seen her clock Jon Snow, which is a great ending because you think, ‘Uh oh, what’s going to happen there?’,” Carice tells The New Daily. “You feel that she is concentrating more and more towards Jon Snow … there are slight hints that something’s going to happen.” If there was a hint that something was going to happen between Mel and Jon Snow, it certainly hasn’t happened yet. So does this mean that Mel will be resurrecting Jon Snow next season, as many fans have theorized?
“I was doing ADR the other day and then the producer was there and he was saying something that I’ve heard before, which is quite spectacular, for next year, which I really can’t say anything about,” Carice reveals.
Hmm... a hint at something involving Jon Snow that hasn’t happened yet, plus a spectacular, top-secret scene for Melisandre next season... call us crazy, but this looks like our best evidence yet that we haven’t seen the last of Jon Snow!
