2016 CMT Music Awards: Carrie Underwood Wins the Entire Night (PHOTOS)
Carrie Underwood dominated the 2016 CMT Music Awards in every way possible.
Not only did the American Idol winner wow on the pink carpet in a multi-colored dress, but she brought along the perfect accessory to compliment her look: husband Mike Fisher.
The two attended the Nashville-set show together but the 33-year-old wasn’t able to just sit in the audience all night, as she took to the stage to perform and accept a few awards.
Taking home the trophy for both Female Video of the Year and CMT Performance of the Year, (both for her single, "Smoke Break”), the mother of one thanked fans for their unwavering love.
"I want to thank you guys for coming out and supporting country music on tour," she said. "I know I speak for all of us artists who say you guys are the reason that we get to do what we get to do."
The Oklahoma native also went onstage to blow us away with her performance of her new single, “Church Bells,” complete with a gospel choir and a stunning wardrobe change.
Another moment that won us over was when host JJ. Watt, a football player, and the Grammy winner’s hubby, a hockey star, pretended to fight over the gorgeous blonde.
“Nothing wrong with a little healthy competition between athletes,” she quipped to People. “JJ is very sweet and very nice but I’m a one man woman.”
It’s pretty clear that homegirl was in rare form last night — and we LOVE it!
