3 Other Pros Who Should Guest Judge on Dancing With the Stars

On Dancing With the Stars Season 17 Week 4 Julianne Hough dropped by to play judge for a day, and we think it actually went really well. It was interesting to get a new perspective, and Julianne's experience on the show gave her a unique point of view. Of course, this got us thinking: Which other (non-competing) Dancing With the Stars pros would make good guest judges?

While any pro would surely bring an interesting addition to the judging panel, here are the three faces we'd most like to see return to the ballroom in a new capacity.

Maksim Chmerkovskiy. Not to be obvious — but yeah, obviously. Maksim Chmerkovskiy has made it clear that he has little interest in competing as a pro again anytime soon, but he's also admitted that he'd be open to coming back as a judge. He's made no secret of his displeasure with some of the other judges in the past, so we'd be very interested to see how he'd do with the tables turned.

Louis Van Amstel. Fans have been agitating to see Louis van Amstel sit at the judges' table for seasons now, and it's easy to see why. He's a respected, beloved pro who doesn't pull any punches, but knows how to present critiques in a helpful, positive way. He's all about watching stars grow, and he'd probably be able to help them in a way none of the current judges do.

Dmitry Chaplin. Is this just because we miss seeing Dmitry and his hotness every week? No, we're sure he'd also have a lot of interesting things to say without being too harsh. But, on the other hand... Yeah, mostly we miss seeing Dmitry and his hotness every week.

Which pros would you like to see try their hands at judging? Sound off in the comments below!

The next episode of Dancing With the Stars Season 17 airs on Monday, October 14, 2013 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
