3 Reasons Why Ladies of London Is a Must-See Summer Show

We have Bravo to thank for bringing us at least half a dozen Housewives shows, but one of the network’s newest reality programs doesn’t have Housewives in the title and we’re just as enthralled by all of the drama!

In case you haven't pieced it together by now, we’re talking about Ladies of London, which premiered on Bravo back on June 2 and airs on the network Monday nights at 10 p.m. ET. Sure the premise is a lot like Housewives — a group of wealthy women in a posh city trying their best to get along — but this new unscripted show is also unique in its own right.

Don’t believe us? Read on for three reasons why you should make Ladies of London your must-see summer show!

It’s Like the Revolutionary War All Over Again

We mentioned the bickering a bit above, but the LoL brawls take catfights to the next level as they often pit born and bred Brits against American expats living in London. On the British side we have Annabelle Neilson and Caroline Stanbury, both of whom have aristocratic backgrounds. The American contingent is larger and consists of Caprice Bourret, Juliet Angus, Noelle Reno, and Marissa Hermer, though Caprice and Noelle have been living in London for years and Marissa is very close to becoming a British citizen.

Still, the socially conscious Brits often butt heads with their noisier (but more fun!) American counterparts. If we didn’t know any better we’d say we were watching a modern re-enactment of the Revolutionary War, and we all know how that ended!

Don't miss the episode.

We’re Obsessed With All Things British

Americans have been going bonkers for Brits ever since Prince William married Kate Middleton back in 2011, and although we’re fairly certain that we won’t be seeing Wills, Kate, or their adorably royal offspring, Prince George, on the show, it still feeds our obsession with all things British. Case in point: In one of the early episodes the ladies go to a polo match and it’s just like that scene in Pretty Woman. But better.

It’s Cheaper Than a Flight to London

Money is tight these days and traveling to London is super expensive, but with Ladies of London you get to feel like you’ve flown across the pond without actually leaving the comfort of your own couch. In addition to the aforementioned polo match, we’ve also watched the ladies enjoy a proper English tea service, ride horses, and attend the annual Serpentine Party, a yearly, invitation-only soiree that’s attended by various royals, celebs, and the like. Don’t blame us if you start speaking with a British accent!

So, have we convinced you to tune into Ladies of London? Tell us your thoughts below!

Ladies of London airs Monday nights at 10 p.m. ET on Bravo.
