5 Clips that Prove Sandra Oh Deserves an Emmy Nomination for Grey’s Anatomy Season 8

For reasons that remain mysterious to us, Grey's Anatomy has apparently fallen out of favor with the Emmy voters. The show used to pull in nominations and wins by the bucketful, but, outside of Loretta Devine's well-deserved Best Guest Actress win in 2011, it hasn't picked up a major award since 2007. None of the series regulars have even been nominated since 2009.

We think it's time for that to change. Sandra Oh (Cristina Yang) used to be a shoe-in for a Best Supporting Actress nomination, and after Season 8, it's time she returns to her rightful spot on the nominees list. Sadly, we're not sure if that will happen.

The Academy won't listen to us, but if they did, we'd show them these five incredible clips from Season 8 as proof that they should vote for Sandra Oh.

Cristina Tells Teddy About Henry, Season 8, Episode 10: "Suddenly"

Cristina and Owen Fight, Season 8, Episode 12: "Hope for the Hopeless"

Cristina Cries After Owen Describes His Affair, Season 8, Episode 19: "Support System"

Cristina Begs Meredith to Be on Her Side, Season 8, Episode 21: "Moment of Truth"

Cristina In Shock After the Crash, Season 8, Episode 24: "Flight"
