5 Things You Didn’t Know About Curly Sue’s Alisan Porter (VIDEO)

We watched and rewatched the 1991 John Hughes film until our VHS tape gave up the ghost — so now, all these years later, we wanted check in on the movie's star attraction, Alisan Porter.

1. She's the youngest person to ever win Star Search — the televised talent competition that helped introduce the world to futures stars like Beyoncé, Britney Spears, LeAnn Rimes, and scores more.
And get this: Alisan scored a spot on the show accidentally! The then five-year-old was accompanying her mom and two of her mom's dance students during their appearance on the show — and, just by happenstance, a Star Search producer heard Alisan singing in a hotel lobby.
2. She's good friends with Adam Lambert — they both starred in the 2004 production The Ten Commandments: The Musical in Los Angeles, five years before Adam's run on American Idol. She then co-wrote a song on Adam's debut album, For Your Entertainment.
3. She's married...with child! She married actor-businessman Brian Autenrieth in March 2012, and they welcomed son Mason Blaise four months later.
