ABC Announces 2-Night Bachelorette 2014 Event Next Week: When and Why?

As if there wasn't enough joy in our lives, now we have something even greater to look forward to going into June, thanks to The Bachelorette and ABC's announcement about the show. It seems they want a little more Andi Dorfman in our lives (just assume we said that in a Lou Bega voice, because we did), so they're giving us a second night of Season 10 on Sunday!

Yep, you read that right! The Bachelorette will air the Santa Barbara-set Episode 3 on Sunday, June 1 at 8 p.m. ET/PT, and it's a doozy. While two great guys will get 1-on-1 dates, another dozen get to sing with BOYZ II MEN!!!! (Sorry, we just passed out and woke up in seventh grade.) But ABC's promo hints at major drama coming up, so there must be a tie in between whatever goes on on Sunday and the ups and downs of the Connecticut-set Season 10 Episode 4.

ABC will show the fourth episode of Andi's season a week before we expected it, and it includes a letter, a rumored girlfriend, and a steam train. You know, typical drama for The Bachelorette. We know that Andi will get plenty of lip locking and concert swooning on the double decker episode pile we've got coming into the station, with the culmination of some of the drama happening on Monday, June 2 at 8 p.m. ET/PT for Episode 4.

Why is ABC doing this and what will it mean? Well, other than the drama double-dose, we don't really know what could have inspired them to make the change. Honestly, all of the Juan Pablo "Juanuary" Sunday content got insanely low ratings, so this doesn't seem like the wisest move. And considering that they already got low ratings when they aired Andi's Season 10 Premiere at 9:30 instead of 8:00 p.m., it seems like a silly move to further muss up the schedule. Will it make the July 28 finale happen a week sooner, or are they planning on skipping an episode later on? We'll let you know when we know!
