ABC Cancels Drama Lucky 7 After Two Episodes — Will You Miss It?

And so the bad news begins: The fall 2013 season is only two weeks old, and we already have our first canceled show.

ABC has canceled hour-long drama Lucky 7 after two episodes, according to Deadline. The show has been pulled from the schedule and will instead air reruns of the more-popular-than-ever Scandal in that Tuesday 10 p.m. time slot.

Translation: So long, Lucky 7. We hardly knew ye.

In case you aren't sure what Lucky 7 was about and judging from it ratings, not many of you are the show is based on a British drama and focuses on seven gas station workers in Queens who win the lottery.

Lucky 7 got off to an inauspicious start last week when its premiere was the lowest-rated fall drama premiere in ABC history. That's right: Worst in the history of the network. Ouch. And it was actually downhill from there, dropping 46% of its viewers by week two.

As you might imagine, it's reportedly unlikely that the network will air any of the episodes that have already been produced, and the show will probably stop production immediately.

What went wrong? Well, the premise of people fighting over money might not have been escapist enough, not to mention that the show didn't have big stars — other than Private Practice's Matt Long, that is. And it didn't help that the show didn't follow an already established show but instead went on after fellow newbie Trophy Wife, which is also struggling in the ratings.

So are you a fan of this show, meaning today's your unlucky day? Or are you not disappointed that this show was tossed aside as quickly as you'd discard an old lottery ticket?
