Miley Cyrus Accidentally Drops “S” Bomb While Accepting Her 2014 Billboard Music Award (VIDEO)
Raindrops on roses, whiskers on kittens, and profanity: These are a few of Miley Cyrus’s favorite things. Unfortunately, her love for one of those things isn’t acceptable on TV — especially not ABC.
When Miley won the award for Top Streaming Artist at Sunday’s Billboard Music Awards, she had to accept her award via satellite, since she’s currently in the middle of bringing her Bangerz tour to Europe. And when she thanked her fans, the language she chose was a bit too colorful for the censors at ABC.
“Thank you guys so much for making me the top streaming artist of the entire year!” Miley said. “I have to, of course, thank all of my fans. It’s the reason that I’m on this amazing tour right now. I’m having the best time.”
Then, it all went wrong.
“I hope to see you all at one of my shows sometime soon,” Miley continued. “I’m sorry I couldn’t be there with you guys tonight but thank you guys so much. Thank you to everybody for making this sh—t possible. Oops, I’m on ABC. Sorrry!”
Not a big deal — The Powers That Be at ABC managed to catch her flub in enough time to bleep her out, and we all lived happily ever after. And let’s face it: Miley didn’t look that sorry!
She later went on to rock the house with Wayne Coyne from The Flaming Lips with a performance of the Beatles’ hit “Lucy in The Sky With Diamonds” live from her concert in the UK, so we’re assuming all is forgiven. Just choose your words more carefully next time, Miley!
