Another season of Game of Thrones, another shocking death. At least this time it's a bad guy who was felled at a wedding! King Joffrey (Jack Gleeson) is gone after Season 4, Episode 2 ("The Lion and the Rose"), and we expect people across the realm to celebrate. But how did the cast feel about the demise of Westeros' most hated teen?
IGN spoke to some of our fave cast members about how they and their characters feel about this big twist, and in the video above you can hear all the best reactions.
For example, Gwendoline Christie (Brienne) thinks her oh-so-noble character was horrified by the poisoning, but she, the actress, liked Joff's "most gentle, horrific death."
Aidan Gillen (Littlefinger), meanwhile, hinted that his crafty character wouldn't find Joff's demise a surprise. Is that because he was in on it, or does Littlefinger just expect every monarch to fall sooner or later?
Perhaps most surprisingly of all, Maisie Williams (Arya) says Arya "feels nothing" about Joffrey's death, even though she's been wishing for it for ages. Perhaps she's not really as bloodthirsty as she thinks... but Maisie is! She says she's disappointed Arya wasn't the one to murder Joffrey. Fair, enough, Maisie. Fair enough.
