Game of Thrones is known the world over for its frequent depictions of characters sans clothes, but at least one of the show’s stars thinks there should be even more nudity on the series — at least of the male variety!
When asked if there should be more male nudity on the show, Sibel Kekilli, who portrays Tyrion Lannister’s love interest Shae, tells The Independent, “Yes, of course. Why are all the women naked? ... I mean good-looking guys. I want to see Conleth Hill (Varys) and [Nikolaj Coster-Waldau] (Jaime) and Peter Dinklage (Tyrion).”
Sibel herself has disrobed on the show in the past, as have many of the show’s female stars, and she’s just the latest to call for more of the men to do the same. Carice van Houten, who portrays Melisandre and has bared all more than once on the show, has previously called for more naked dudes in Westeros to even things out between the sexes.
Sibel even goes so far as to joke that she’s going to speak to the show’s creators about the issue, saying, “We’re going to talk to David Benioff and Dan Weiss.”
Sibel returns to the screen with the rest of the cast of Game of Thrones on April 6 on HBO.
