Adam Lambert: “No Wedding Bells in My Future” — Why Not?
American Idol runner-up Adam Lambert is absolutely thrilled that same-sex marriage is now legal in California — but don’t buy him wedding presents just yet!
The openly gay — and super talented — singer spoke to Radar Online in an exclusive video interview about the ruling. He said, "It’s fabulous! But I’m single, so there are no wedding bells in my future [right now]!"
Adam joined gays across the country in applauding the Supreme Court for clearing the way for same-sex marriages to take place in California by overturning the state’s Proposition 8.
But Adam is flying solo these days, which is sad because he's such a great guy. In fact, this has been a year of heartbreak for Adam, since he split from his boyfriend, Finish entertainment reporter Sauli Koskinen, earlier this year.
"I believe in using celebrity for visibility in causes bigger than myself," Adam told Radar at the Playhouse nightclub in Hollywood, where he was performing at the AT&T Live Proud event. The concert honored the Trevor Project‘s efforts in crisis intervention and suicide prevention services for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender people.
