Adam Lambert on Glee Season 5: When Will Starchild Be Back?

We’ll be honest: We had mixed feelings going into Glee Season 5. Besides the obvious losses that we knew would change the face of the show: Cory Monteith’s death, Heather Morris’s permanent departure, we weren’t sure about the guest stars. But Demi Lovato (Dani) and Adam Lambert (Starchild) have both proven to be amazing assets to the show, and we can’t wait for more! So, um, when is that?

In Episode 4, “A Katy or a Gaga,” American Idol alum Adam totally blew our socks off as Starchild, an aspiring singer who wants to be in Kurt, Rachel, and Dani’s new band. Suspending the reality where he says “I didn’t get into NYADA” (in what world, guys?), will he get into Kurt’s world a little more soon?

Yes! And no. A lot of no, but a little yes. In Episodes 5 and 6, Adam will be MIA, and we’re not sure what story we’ll get about why he’s taking a breather, but whatever. But Adam will be for sure back in Episode 7, “Puppet Master,” wherein the band is miraculously ready for their first gig, but argues about how to do that. Obviously, Kurt should just let Santana pick, because she’s a genius, but that’s just our opinion…

Up next is the Christmas special for Episode 8, but since it’s set in the past, Adam clearly won’t be making an appearance. Never fear, though. He’s back for Episode 9: “Frenemies,” and he and Kurt will be sharing quite the sexy duet. So that romantic tension you may have sensed between the two? It’s not going away anytime soon. But as for just how far it will go, that still remains to be seen.

Would you be stoked if Adam became a more permanent cast member on Glee? Share your thoughts below!
