Adriana de Moura Demands Wedding Guests Wear… What? See the Invite!

When it comes to the upcoming season of the Real Housewives of Miami, one thing's for sure: It’s going to be all about the weddings!

On Friday, May 17, Real Housewives of Miami star Adriana de Moura will tie the knot with entrepreneur Frederic Marq in a ceremony that producers say will be “heavily featured on Season 3.” But with nuptials of her own less than a month later, fans of the show wonder if castmate Joanna Krupa is deliberately trying to compete with Adriana’s wedding.

Whether or not the women will turn this season into a sequel of Bride Wars remains to be seen, but it’s certainly going to be hard to beat Adriana’s over-the-top affair.

According to the invitation, which was recently leaked online, producers “want to be sure that Adriana and Frederic’s event goes down in the Bravo history books.” The couple is requesting that “all guests arrive in elegant, all white, ‘royal ascot’ inspired clothes,” with “beautiful hats or fascinators to set the tone of the wedding.”

Sounds simple enough, right? Well, not so much. Following the ceremony, guests will make their way to a reception at the Biltmore Hotel, where they will be required to change costumes!

“We are requesting that your reception attire be inspired by the beautiful Art Deco gowns and tuxedos from Downton Abbey or The Great Gatsby,” reads the invite. “Think of elegant sophistication of high social as opposed to cheaply costumed ‘flappers.’”

To ensure their vision goes off without a hitch, event coordinator Rick Campbell included mood boards to give guests “an idea of the dress codes that we are requesting.”

We must say we’re amazed by the number of times “request” was used in this invitation. We feel like “demand” might have been a more appropriate word choice!

Do you think Adriana has taken things too far with her wedding stipulations, or will the costumes makes it the ceremony of the year?
