A&E Reality TV Star Roy Garber Dies at Age 49

A&E's Shipping Wars star Roy Garber passed away on Friday night. Roy died shortly after suffering a massive heart attack and was only 49 years old. TMZ reveals the reality star had an existing heart condition. The reality star, a fan favorite nicknamed "Silver Jesus," owned and operated Arbie's Team Transport in New Hampshire. He leaves behind a teenage son named Travis (who he raised by himself), a long-time girlfriend, and his beloved cat and favorite traveling companion Muffy.

Fans are tweeting an outpouring of love for the recently departed star. Shipping Wars costar and new mom Jennifer Brennan tweeted, "Please pray for Roy's family. He will. Be missed. The roads won't be the same. We had a good friendship off camera." A rep from A&E released this statement in response to Roy's death: “We are deeply saddened by the loss of a member of the A&E family [...] Our thoughts are with Roy’s loved ones during this difficult time. He will be missed.”

Shipping Wars, which started in 2012, is a reality show on A&E about independent truckers who pick up big jobs under tights time constraints that regular carries will not accept — and make a lot of money doing it. The show is currently just finished its fifth season.
