Alec Baldwin Says Baby Carmen Makes Him Feel ‘Invisible’ (VIDEO)

Alec Baldwin seems to be going through a patch of the poor papa blues recently, as he expressed on “The Late Show With David Letterman” that since the birth of his new daughter Carmen Gabriela just a few weeks ago, he feels invisible.

“No one even sees that I’m there anymore,” The 55-year-old father of two told Letterman. “I thought about taking off all my clothes and sitting nude at the breakfast table.” While that would definitely get attention, we’d urge Alec to keep his duds on. No need to shock his new baby after only 3 short weeks on earth!

Alec has gone through some pretty drastic changes in the past few years with the arrival of a new baby with wife Hilaria Baldwin, the wrapping of 30 Rock, his 17-year-old daughter Ireland becoming a model, and the recent announcement that he will be getting his own late night talk show.

Speaking of Ireland, the 6’2” blonde beauty hasn’t even met her new sister yet! Ireland has probably been basking in some exotic locale for a photo shoot lately, but she hasn’t forgotten that she has a little half-sister waiting for her back home. The teen penned an open letter to Carmen on her Tumblr:

Dear Carmen,

You have entered the world! Welcome! We have all been anticipating your arrival! By we, I mean a lot of people. Girl, you haven’t even met them, but there are a ton of people who care about you. I’m not sure where exactly to begin…

Alec also threw in a few other gems during his “Late Show” appearance, including the fact that he would like Carmen to grow up looking like her mom, not him — “What a waste of time it would be to marry a woman like [Hilaria] and have the kid look like me.” — and how his friends have been quick to remind him that he will be in a wheelchair by the time Carmen graduates college. Ouch!
