Alexis Bellino Says Report of FBI Raiding Her Home for Fraud Is Untrue

We've sadly already seen one Real Housewives star dealing with fraud charges, as Teresa and Joe Giudice have been indicted on charges of mail and bank fraud. So do we have to add one more Housewife to the list?

Reports have been circulating of late that Real Housewives of Orange County stars Alexis and Jim Bellino's home was raided by the FBI. But Alexis is dismissing these reports as untrue.

"Today there was a posting on a gossip website stating that we were raided by law enforcement," Alexis tells E! News. "It is an outright lie."

So why did these rumors crop up? "Being the subject of false statements and gossip is, unfortunately, one of the drawbacks of being in the public eye," Alexis explains. "We are demanding a retraction and expect the posting to be retracted because the statement is completely false."

The site in question appears to be The Dirty, which posted that the Bellinos' home had been raided as a result of their involvement in bank fraud. However, no further information was given by the site.

Alexis and Jim have discussed their previous financial struggles on the show. Jim was also the subject of an FBI probe when it was revealed that a sports memorabilia business he was involved with had sold fake autographs. Jim ultimately accepted a deal with the FBI in which he was given probation and was no longer allowed to return to the memorabilia business.

We're wishing Alexis and Jim the best, and we're just relieved that this most recent home-raid rumor doesn't have any validity to it.
