Former Real Housewives Alexis Bellino and Lydia Mclaughlin hit the town last night, proving that, though Housewives come and go, true friends stick together. “Dinner tonight with this sweet friend @oclydia,” Bellino wrote on her Instagram. “On screen, off screen, this friendship never waivers. Love you girl. XO #truefriends #tonightwassofun.” Mclaughlin shared the same photo on her personal Instagram, with the hashtags “#TrueFriends” and “#HousewivesSurvivors.”
Though Mclaughlin joined The Real Housewives of Orange County in Season 8 as Alexis Bellino’s friend, she chose to leave after only one season, stating that she didn’t want to make a career out of being a housewife. Later, Mclaughlin revealed that she was pregnant with her third child, and didn’t want her storyline to focus on that. The former Housewives star is hoping "for a girl," according to her rep. "Both Lydia and Doug are so excited to be adding to their beautiful family." Additionally, Mclaughlin is working on a book, due in 2015, which she says will be "an inspirational tome that doubles as a personal memoir and a Bible study course."
Bellino has also been busy since leaving Housewives — the former star recently returned from a mission trip to Mexico, where she visited the RISE Orphanage in Puerto Vallarta. "What was the best part of our entire vacation?” Bellino posted to her Facebook page. “Visiting RISE Orphanage and having our kids pass out I've [sic] cream and pajamas to these children. None of them spoke the same language by voice, but they did by heart. We are forever changed by this day."
