Game of Thrones’ Alfie Allen Talks Nudity: “I’m Fine About It”
Game of Throneshas a reputation for requiring its actors bare more than just their souls, and star Alfie Allen (Theon Greyjoy) is just fine with that.
“You just use your own experiences and get on with it,” Alfie told ES Magazine of performing full-frontal nude scenes on the show. “I'm more concerned with making the other person feel comfortable, because I'm fine about it. There have been times I've asked the director for notes before realizing that I'm standing there stark bollock naked. They'll be like, 'Can you just cover up a bit?’”
Clearly, Alfie is not shy, and he’s also very committed to his role as Theon. Very committed. He revealed of a conversation he had with showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss regarding his role after his character’s season two cliffhanger" “[Benioff and Weiss] go, ‘So, we're thinking about bringing you back as a zombie. How do you feel about being a zombie with absolutely no dialog whatsoever?’ ‘OK, cool, I'm up for that'. Then they go, ‘And you're naked all the time.’ At which point I realized it was a wind-up.”
Nice to know that Alfie enjoyed being on the show that much!
Although Alfie has no problem with full-frontal nudity, it’s highly unlikely he’ll get the chance to do anymore on GoT after last season’s, ahem, incident.
