Ali Fedotowsky: Desiree Hartsock Knows Who “Her Guy” Is — WHO?!
On the July 1 episode of The Bachelorette, Desiree Hartsock took time out of her date to do something really special for one of her guys: Chris Siegfried. After the soccer game, she pulled him aside to hang in her room while the rest of the guys yelled downstairs. But it wasn’t just that she chose him to spend time with — Ali Fedotowsky pointed out one specific behavior that makes her think that Chris is Des’s guy.
“I need to take a minute to talk about Desiree's time with Chris. There is something very ‘innocent’ about their relationship. They are like little kids together, but in such a mature way. It's hard for me to find words to explain what I see in them,” the Season 6 Bachelorette sounds off in her E! Bachelorette blog. Funny that she’s having trouble putting her feelings into words, since that’s pretty much all Chris and Des do together.
“Most importantly,” Ali elaborates, “Des showed me last night that Chris is her guy at this stage in the journey when she wrote him a poem!” Ah yes, the infamous poem. Much like how Chris wrote Des one while on the plane to Germany, Des did the same for him on the less than two hour flight from Munich to Barcelona.
Furthermore, Ali explains the significance of a Bachelorette dedicating what little precious time she had to one guy in particular. “That fact that she took the time to do that says so much about what she is feeling. As far as we know, she didn't write any of the other guys a poem.”
But before you go thinking this was just a tit for tat and all that, it’s not. Okay? Ali said so. “Trust me, if he wasn't her top guy right now, or at least in her top two, she wouldn't have taken the time to write one at all. As the Bachelorette, you are constantly exhausted from non-stop traveling and dating. When you aren't on a date, all you want to do is sleep or not think about the guys for once.”
While Ali was the Bachelorette, she used her airplane downtime to rest up. Not so with Des, and that speaks roses about their budding love. “She took the time to write that poem because she thinks Chris could be the guy for her. I honestly think Chris is her guy.”
