All About Lisa Vanderpump’s Newest Venture, SUR Lounge
What Lisa Vanderpump wants, she gets. In Season 2, Episode 3 of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Lisa decides the time has come to expand her restaurant SUR. Because she coveted the space next door for years, she wanted to snap it up right away when it finally became available. Despite her husband Ken’s reservations, the pretty Brit went ahead with her plans.
“Sexy” is Lisa Vanderpump’s favorite way to describe her West Hollywood restaurant, and in order to extend the vibe to SUR Lounge, as the 2,500-square-foot addition is called, she brought in sculptures of Shiva, red velvet ottomans, glass tiles, plush pillows, and lots of leafy green plants. “I was looking for an eclectic feeling. Is it Vietnamese? Balinese? French? I wanted you to not be able to put your finger on it,” Lisa explained to The Hollywood Reporter. The menu consists of salads and appetizers, and you can sip a cocktail called Lisa Vanderpump’s “Big Pinky” on the patio, which is full of black furniture, bird cages, and trees.
Though it hasn’t been open for long, SUR Lounge — which Lisa and Ken co-own with Guillermo Zapata and his wife Nathalie — is already becoming a hotspot. “It’s a combination of the food, the live DJ and the best music for which SUR is known, the ambiance and of course, the cocktails,” Lisa told Rumor Fix.
If you decide to visit, you might run into a famous face: X Factor judge Paula Abdul, Miley Cyrus, and Sharon Osbourne have all been spotted at the new lounge. If you want to see Giggy, though, you’ll probably have more luck at Lisa’s other restaurant, Villa Blanca. We suspect SUR Lounge’s 7 p.m. to 2 a.m. hours are past the pup’s bedtime.
