Allison Williams has a career any aspiring actress would kill for. Wouldn’t you want to work with Lena Dunham? We’d take that job any day. But as hard as she’s worked, she’ll be willing to give it all up in a minute when she’s ready to have kids.
“My goal is to create a career I can walk away from and become a mom,” Allison told Glamour in a recent interview. “I’d love to be a mom, and not have to bring my kids into my trailer … Or a balance [of both]. But you gotta call it on the fly to a certain extent.”
“If you go into acting for love of the craft, and you dodge the fame aspect, it’s more sustainable,” Allison added.
Considering the fact that Allison’s starring on one of the hottest and most talked about shows on TV right now, we’re not sure how easy it’ll be for her to dodge fame, but we give her props for trying!
And speaking of Girls, there’s one relationship on the show Allison’s pulling for more than any other. “I root for Hannah and Marnie more than I do for Hannah and Adam,” she said. “Marnie needs a close female friend. Who doesn’t? I’d be nowhere without my girlfriends.”
We’re cool with Allison’s choice to trade in acting for motherhood — as long as she doesn’t start having kids before Girls has run its course. We don’t want to lose our Marnie!
