Carrie Underwood is Almay’s New Global Brand Ambassador
The hills are alive with the sound of endorsements!
Fresh off her Sound of Music success, Carrie Underwood has been selected as the new face of Almay, as E! News reports. (And the site also has a first look at her TV commercials.)
The country singer and American Idolwinner is the makeup and skin care company's newest global brand ambassador, joining fellow actress Kate Hudson in the capacity.
It's not Carrie's first makeup rodeo, granted — she was also brand ambassador for Olay from 2010 to 2012 and is currently working on a line of nail polishes for Nicole by OPI, as the site notes.
In her 30 years on this planet, Carrie has churned out four platinum or multi-platinum albums, released more #1 country tracks than any other female artist in the last two decades, won six Grammy Awards and seven American Music Awards, and earned a place in the Grand Ole Opry and the Oklahoma Music Hall of Fame.
And, of course, she attracted nearly 19 million viewers with her performance as Maria von Trapp in NBC's The Sound of Music Live! in December — prompting the network to greenlight a live version of the musical Peter Pan.
