Since her release from rehab, Amanda Bynes has made a total transformation. No longer fighting to be the center of attention on Twitter or starting fires, Amanda’s fresh start includes college and a lot of hanging out with her parents.
And while Amanda’s behavior can clearly be explained by whatever disorder she was diagnosed with in rehab, she prefers to keep the details of her medical condition under wraps. However, she has asked her lawyer, Tamar Arminak, to set the record straight about what rumors are not true.
“For the record, Amanda does not have schizophrenia, nor has she ever been diagnosed with it,” Tamar tells People.
Whatever condition she does have, she’s also not taking meds for it. “Amanda is currently on zero medication,” Tamar adds. “She’s devoted to living her life as healthy as possible. She’s never had a history of abusing alcohol or hard drugs, and she’s proud to say she’s been marijuana-free for the past nine months.”
Instead, Amanda’s now focused on her classes at FIDM, where she’s studying fashion merchandising.
“Amanda’s very happy studying fashion and she hopes to one day design her own line,” Tamar says. “Her family is closely involved with her day-to-day life but they try to give her as much autonomy as possible. She’s doing extremely well. Her primary focus is bonding with her family and being a student.”
We’re so glad to hear Amanda’s healthy and happy. Maybe someday we’ll see her on an All That reunion?
