Don’t expect an Amanda Bynes-themed special to grace the OWN Channel anytime soon. The 27-year-old former child star has turned down offers from both Oprah and Ms. Winfrey’s protégé, Dr. Phil, since her release from rehab last week, according to a VH1 report.

The two self-help gurus supposedly approached Amanda about doing her first interview post-rehab, but VH1 claims Amanda and her family decided to pass saying they instead wanted to fully focus on moving forward with recovery. And, you know, maybe not take a cue from Lindsay Lohan.

Amanda was seen out with her parents, Rick and Lynn, last week as the family walked their dogs. It was the first time the Nickelodeon star had made an appearance since leaving rehab earlier this month. Upon her exit, Amanda’s mom’s lawyer, Tamar Arminak, thanked supporters for helping them through this difficult time.

“Amanda and her entire family would like to thank everyone who’s contacted them with good thoughts and wishes for Amanda’s recovery,” read the statement. “Amanda has completed her inpatient rehabilitation and she’s feeling better every day.”

She reportedly already has plans on what she wants to do with her new lease on life: attend fashion school. According to a TMZ report, Amanda has signed up for classes at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in Orange County. Perhaps she’d be more open to a Project Runway camera crew following her around...
