Amanda Seyfried and Justin Long Hold Hands in Red Carpet Debut (PHOTO)
It took the prospect of seeing Neil Patrick Harris don punk-rock drag for Amanda Seyfried and Justin Long to make their red carpet debut as a couple — even though they've been dating for since the summer!
The lovebirds showed up hand-in-hand at the April 22 opening night of the Broadway musical Hedwig and the Angry Inch at New York City's Belasco Theatre.
Justin and Amanda started dating around July 2013 — about the time he was spotted getting cuddly with her at the premiere of Lovelace.
Other celebs in attendance at the Hedwig debut included Anna Wintour, Perez Hilton, Zac Posen, Christina Hendricks, Kelly Ripa, RuPaul, and David Burtka (aka Neil's hubby).
Also showing up to support the revival were John Cameron Mitchell, who wrote the text and starred in the original 1998 off-Broadway music and the ensuing movie, and Stephen Trask, who wrote the music and lyrics.
In the show, Neil plays Hedwig, an East German transgender singer who fronts a rock band. The sex change she underwent to leave East Berlin with her U.S. soldier lover, however, went horrifically wrong, resulting in the titular "angry inch."
The revival has been getting rave reviews — particularly for Neil's no-holds-barred performance. We guess squeamish subject matter didn't make Justin squirm too much!
