Amber Portwood Posts Photo of Her “Battle Wounds” After Confirming Domestic Abuse

Someone needs to give Amber Portwood a lesson in social media etiquette stat.

Just two days after the Teen Mom OG star went on a 40-minute long Instagram rant essentially confirming the rumors she and Matt Baier are in an abusive relationship, she posted a photo on the same platform of her “battle wounds.”

Talk about poor timing!

On Monday, June 12, the 27-year-old ranted on social media about all her haters, while also confirming some troubling details about her relationship in the process.

“Real women don’t report domestic violence,” she said after admitting she’s been on “both ends” of domestic abuse.

“I can handle myself.”

Never mind how troubling that statement is, but the next day she went and posted a picture of her “battle wounds,” aka a tiny little scratch on her finger.

“#Dontslidedownafteryoupunch,” she captioned the pic.

Understandably, the comments under the photo were extremely negative, with people hating on Amber for saying real women don’t report abuse, and then following up such a statement with a photo as ambiguous as this one.

It’s likely her “battle wounds” were from a boxing class or some other kind of workout, but come on — the timing on this post is in extremely poor taste.

Leah’s mama also posted another more lighthearted photo showing off her brand new hair —  a platinum blonde ‘do with pink streaks.

Sending love Be kind to each other

Amber and Matt are all but confirmed to be joining the next season of Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars, and they’re gearing up to spend about two weeks in Los Angeles for filming.

We guess girl wanted to switch things up with her look before shooting the new show!

Meanwhile, their new reality TV endeavor could explain why the couple has been so weirdly ambiguous about their relationship status. Are they over? Are they not?

All signs are pointing to yes at this point, but we have a feeling it’s going to be a while before we find out for good!

What do you think of Amber’s bizarre photo? Do you think she and Matt are really over? Tell us below.

Teen Mom OG airs Mondays at 9 p.m. ET on MTV.
