Dancing With the Stars 2013 Finale: Amber Riley and Derek Hough’s Samba-Quickstep Fusion (VIDEO)
The time is here! The Season 17 finale of Dancing With the Stars is upon us and for former Glee star Amber Riley, she’s facing the Quickstep — the dreaded ballroom dance — for the second time in the challenging final dance, combining the fast-paced dance and the sultry Samba. Luckily she had fan-favorite professional dancer Derek Hough right by her side to help her along the way.
In the video package, Amber wasn’t afraid to say that they got the hardest dance, and even Derek noted that one was ballroom and one was a rhythmic dance — giving them a lot to work toward. Final rehearsals are always sad, but these two got right to work and left the goodbyes for another time.
These two stellar dancers showed off their moves in matching blue outfits, looking pretty fabulous if we do say so ourselves. Carrie Ann was blown away by Amber and Derek, which made Amber emotional. She said it was “seamless” and “effortless” and even touted that they created a new style. Len admitted he was “critical” this season, but said watching Amber dance was a pleasure. And leave it to Bruno to go one step more, calling it “flawless,” saying she never put her foot in the wrong place. We smell a perfect score...
Score: 10, 10, 10. 30/30.
