Amber Rose Hires Wendy Williams’s Executive Producer for Talk Show — Report
Is Amber Rose trying to become the next Wendy Williams?
The 33-year-old model, whose VH1 late night talk show, The Amber Rose Show, was cancelled after just one season last year, is reportedly plotting a comeback.
“Amber’s first season was a disaster because she was surrounded by the wrong people at VH1,” an insider told Radar.
“Now she is moving to MTV and has hired Dauber. [It’s] a power move and Wendy should watch out.”
Rob was the executive producer of The Wendy Williams Show from 2011 to 2016.
“He turned Wendy into a monster hit and knows all the secrets to her success,” the Radar source said.
“He has worked with everyone from Martha Stewart to Dr. Oz and the original Rosie O’Donnell show. He’s considered a genius within the TV circle and if he can make Wendy a star, he can do the same with Amber Rose.”
Amber already hosts Loveline with Amber, a podcast about sex, and appeared on Dancing With the Stars.
Wetpaint has reached out to Amber’s rep for comment about the report.
Do you think Amber can revive her talk show career to become the next Wendy Williams, or should she stay in her own lane?
