The Walking Dead: AMC Schedules New Year’s 2014 Series Marathon

Is there a better way to welcome 2014 than with a full series marathon of The Walking Dead? You know the answer! (It’s no.)

AMC wants your new year to be extra special, so the network is scheduling another great marathon, starting with Season 1, Episode 1 at 9 a.m. ET on New Year’s Eve day, Tuesday, December 31, 2013 and ending with Season 4, Episode 8, which will finish at 5 a.m. ET on Thursday, January 2, 2014.

Not only that, there’s a special bonus for fans who also love Breaking Bad. AMC is kicking off a four-day BB series marathon from December 27-December 30. So once Christmas is over, just tell your family members they can find you in front of the TV.

Unfortunately, AMC is not so kind that it’s willing to start the second half of Season 4 any sooner than February 9. It’s still going to be a long wait until Episode 9 launches the next eight episodes, but at least we can review everything that’s happened to date, and compare seasons, decisions, character deaths, Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus) hair changes, etc.

Will you be tuning in for the Walking Dead marathon? Check out the full schedule here.

The Walking Dead Season 4 returns to AMC on February 9, 2014, at 9 p.m. ET.
