AMC’s Breaking Bad Spin-Off, Better Call Saul, Recruits Jonathan Banks as a Series Regular!
Breaking Bad spinoff Better Call Saul finds its next series regular! In addition to Bob Odenkirk, who plays the titular, sleazy lawyer Saul Goodman, fellow Breaking Bad alum Jonathan Banks will reprise his role in the upcoming prequel series, due to debut this November.
Jonathan played Mike Ehrmantraut, the fan-favorite former police officer turned hitman, enforcer, and private investigator — generally an all-purpose professional muscle and fixer with brains to boot. Mike gained a ton of fans after his motivation and odd heart of gold started showing through his gruff exterior.
We're really excited to learn more about Mike, who was working for both Saul and businessman/kingpin Gustavo Fring (Giancarlo Esposito) during his tenure on Breaking Bad. Is he a freelance PI? Is he on Saul's payroll yet? So many questions!
Mike's presence on the show will be a welcome one! After all, someone has keep Saul alive. It doesn't hurt to have someone watching your back.
