While American Horror Story: Coven dishes out seemingly impossible amounts of murder, mischief, and mayhem each week, leaving viewers with little clue as to where the next helping of crazy will come from, one thing seems clear: Fiona Goode (Jessica Lange) is not long for this world, and soon enough, one of her disciples will take over her role as supreme of her coven.

The real question remains: which witch will it be?

In last week’s episode, it became clear that Zoe (Taissa Farmiga) had more fight in her than she’d been letting on. Gone was the timid girl scared to sneak out of the house with Madison (Emma Roberts) in the first episode. In her place was a careful, yet courageous witch who had her first taste of power and yearned for more — she’d already brought both Madison and Kyle back from the dead, and, following the untimely demise of Spalding at her hand, she only had one spot on the other side left to fill.

While it seems clear that Zoe will soon fill Fiona’s shoes as supreme of the coven, she’s not without competition for the role. Fiona had originally murdered Madison because she believed her to be the next supreme, and now, with Madison’s fear of death gone, it seems as though her powers may be at an all-time high, making her a possible candidate for supreme. However, the fact that she’s already been killed by Fiona once does prove that she’s no longer the toughest witch on the block and, quite possibly, has an expiration date on her already.

The only option left would be Fiona’s daughter, Cordelia (Sarah Paulson), who, after being blinded by an acid attack, has become clairvoyant through touch — Ryan Murphy giveth and Ryan Murphy taketh away in slightly unequal proportions, it would seem. If Zoe can resurrect the dead, we’re sure she can clear up something as basic as blindness, and we do know Cordelia has all of the requisite mommy issues it would take for her to want to dethrone Fiona once and for all.
