Turns out, a lot of TV viewers love be scared to death every week by American Horror Story. The spooktastic FX hit got props last night, January 8, at the People's Choice Awards — after voters selected it as their Favorite TV Movie/Miniseries.

The anthology series beat out Behind the Candelabra, The Bible, The White Queen, and even what may have been its strongest competition, Sharknado! (Jessica Lange or Tara Reid? Hmm…)

The PCA crystal trophy is just the latest in a long list of honors AHS has accrued. It's been nominated for 34 Emmy Awards for its first two seasons, earning more nods in 2013 than any other TV series in recognition of its Asylum saga.

Meanwhile, the awe-inspiring Jessica Lange has picked up an Emmy, a Golden Globe, a Screen Actors Guild Award, and a Satellite Award for her performances in the first two seasons, as Constance Langdon and Sister Jude Martin, respectively. (And her role in this current Coven season, Fiona Goode, will undoubtedly garner more commendations!)

The show has been a commercial success, too, with Coven having the series' best ratings yet, even beating its Wednesday night competition on the bigger broadcast networks.

Consider us all spellbound!
