Time to freak out, American Horror Story fans. Ryan Murphy appears to have announced the title for Season 4 on Twitter.

"AMERICAN HORROR STORY SEASON FOUR," he writes, with a Twitter image that says "Freak Show." (The all-caps emphasis is his!)

Fans had been speculating that the title would be "Circus" or "Carnival," and AHS writer Douglas Petrie spilled the beans and confirmed the carnival theme a week ago.

Now we know, though, that the horror will take place less in the big top and more in the sideshow!

Don't pay any attention the artwork Ryan uses in his tweet, though. It's not official. A simple Google Image search for "freak show" brings up that very graphic — pulled from a website for a social conservative political action committee, of all places. (The freak show in question? The 2012 Democratic National Convention.)

But if you are looking for what the key art for the "freaky" season might look like, check out all the fan art that avid Photoshoppers made long before the setting was confirmed — you know, back when Ryan was still playing dumb about the "carnival" theme.

What do you think of the title? Let us know your snap reaction in the comments below!
