The American Idol 2013 finale is finally here! Our live American Idol recap of the last Season 12 performances show starts right now and we can’t wait for all the drama to unfold. On American Idol tonight, Candice Glover and Kree Harrison will face off in a final showdown to determine who deserves to win it all. Who wins American Idol Season 12 will be determined completely by your votes. Tune in for our live American Idol recap, watch all the action with us, and get ready to change someone’s life forever!

Who won
American Idol 2013 all comes down to the last competition performances from Candice Glover and Kree Harrison tonight. They will each have three chances to sing the song of a lifetime and convince viewers to support them in the final American Idol voting tally. Song choices could mean the difference between winning and losing on American Idol tonight, and it’s looking like a very interesting schedule of performances this evening.

The three themes for the American Idol finale performances this week are Simon Fuller’s Pick, Best Performances, and Coronation Songs. The Coronation Songs will be where it all gets very interesting, since we hear they are co-written by the contestants themselves. These songs written for the American Idol finales are always a tricky business. They end up being either wildly amazing, or total duds. Let’s hope this season they will be winners!

And here we go!

Kicking off the show tonight, we look back at Kree Harrison as a tiny tot getting national attention for the first time... and a very cute, younger Candice Glover auditioning for American Idol once, twice, and will the third time be the charm? It’s win or go home time on American Idol tonight!

The American Idol host introduces the judges and then it’s time for the Top 2 ladies to take to the stage. It’s Kreedom against Candy Girl, as Nicki Minaj might say, according to Ryan Seacrest. Kree says it is surreal to be on stage. “Where are we?” Candice quips, looking around like a deer caught in the headlights.

As the Top 2 head backstage to get ready, Ryan tells us what will be going on tonight. First up will be Simon Fuller’s song choice, followed the finalists’ Coronation Songs, with a reprisal of their best performances from the season as the last performance.

After the show tonight, the American Idol voting numbers will stay open for four hours.

And now it's time to get right into the performances!

Judges: Mariah Carey says the first two performances were just “beyond.” She wants to say she is “so proud” and the talent this season is just “so maginificent and of a level it is so mind-boggling.” Randy Jackson interrupts to say it is a “good final two.” Mariah says she is just “blown away.” Randy thinks the two songs were both a “little sleepy” and he would not have chosen either of these songs. He says he has to give the edge in round one to Candice because she worked with the song and gave it her own spin.

Our Call: We agree with Randy on this. Neither song choice was stellar and we think Candice won this round too.

After a break, Carly Rae Jepsen is on stage for a guest performance of “Take a Picture” — the finished product of Coca-Cola’s Perfect Harmony song collaboration between Carly and American Idol fans who helped choose the lyrics. We’re not even going to comment on this song except to say it’s both catchy and painful to listen to. Or, as one of our viewers over here stated simply: "This is bad."

We’re back again and it’s time for Ryan to promote the American Idol Live! Tour and say hi to one of the members of the tour in the audience, Amber Holcomb. (BTW, you can enter to win a pair of tour tickets by clicking here!)

Up next, it’s time for the Coronation songs, which will be available for download on iTunes after the show!

Another break is over and Ryan is cozying up to Candice’s family in the crowd. He says fans will be able to pre-order the winner’s album tomorrow night as well as downloading the Top 2 singles.

Judges: Nicki Minaj says she loves Kreedom’s composure and the song really made her “reach down in the gut more than she ever has before.” Keith Urban says for him it is like soul versus soul with these two girls, and he thinks both songs are perfect. Ryan puns that Candice’s song fits her “like a Glover.” Groan!

Our Call: The judges didn't really call a winner on this round per se, but we think they are leaning toward Candice Glover again on this one. We are too. Candice is making the most out of weak material tonight. We're not really feeling either Coronation son. Neither of these tunes is nearly as powerful as Phillip Phillips' "Home" from last season. Not by a long shot.

Another break is over and Ryan does finally ask which girl the judges think won that round. Apparently they are going to be nice and say Kree for this round, but we don't really think they mean it... Or maybe we're just biased. Now it's time for the third round of performances for the night, the best songs of Kree and Candice from earlier this season.

Judges: Keith Urban says “that was beautiful Kree!” He thinks it was gorgeous. Nicki Minaj is so glad Kreedom did that one. “That energy is so uplifting.” She loves it even more than the Coronation song and this one really showed off her beautiful soul. Randy Jackson says this was a winning kind of performance. He loves it. Mariah Carey says Kree looks beautiful and the song had power and Kree just has something special.

Candice Glover American Idol Top 2 Performance — “I Who Have Nothing”

Judges: Keith Urban says “it’s just crazy” and this song was like a “planet exploding.” He thinks it was just incredible. Nicki Minaj is amazed that we’re seeing Candice’s legs for the first time. She says Candice comes across as a “superstar” and she was amazing. Randy Jackson says he knows for sure “that girl can plum, flat out sing... this is who you do it... that is a winning performance!” Mariah Carey says it doesn’t matter what song they hear Candice sing, she can turn any song into a vehicle for her amazing voice. She knows she’ll be listening to Candice for years to come.

Our Call: It’s an obvious win for Candice for round three to us — and for the whole night in our opinion. Frankly, when they are put head to head, Kree just isn’t quite at the same level as Candice. Of course, it’s all up to the voters to decide now, and we never know what is going to happen until the last vote is counted!

That's a wrap! Join us here for our American Idol finale results show recap and find out who won Season 13!
