Another American Idol judges has bitten the dust.

Randy Jackson announced he was parting ways with the show right before the Season 12 finale, and Mariah Carey declared her exit earlier today by retweeting a statement by her PR firm.

Now, Nicki Minaj is also joining the ranks of departing American Idol judges. The rapper took to Twitter to make things official, tweeting, “Thank you American Idol for a life changing experience! Wouldn't trade it for the world! Time to focus on the Music!!! Mmmuuuaahhh!!!”

According to a statement by Fox obtained by The Wrap, the decision seems to be totally amicable between Nicki and the network.

"Nicki Minaj is a superstar who brought a level of honesty and passion to American Idol and who had a tremendous impact on so many contestants this season," read the statement. "Given her extremely busy career, we understand and respect her decision and wish her the best."

The choice was no doubt bittersweet for Nicki Minaj, who surprised many viewers by becoming arguably the most dynamic judge of American Idol 2013. From her outlandish outfits to her unfiltered comments, Nicki brought a distinct element of unpredictability to the show. But her polarizing presence may have been a double edged sword, with some fans loving her and others declaring she was the worst judge in the history of the show.

With Nicki gone, that leaves Keith Urban as the only American Idol judge whose fate is unknown.
