The female rockers on American Idol have been few and far between. That’s why we loved that Season 11’s Elise Testone was not only one of the first contestants to brave a Led Zeppelin song on the show, but she nailed her rendition of “Whole Lotta Love”.

We’ve been a bit worried, as we haven’t heard much about her musical pursuits since coming in sixth place, but we don’t have to worry anymore. The South Carolina-based singer is releasing an independently produced album entitled In This Life.

Not only has Elise included a bonus song with fellow Idol rocker Erika Van Pelt, but she’s also enlisted the help of former Hootie and the Blowfish frontman Darius Rucker.

“When I heard his voice on it, and I realized I wrote it, and how hard I’ve worked on this journey," the raspy-voiced singer gushed in an interview with Fox Morning News, Myrtle Beach. "Every time I hear it, I can’t stop crying."

Elise said the track will likely be the first single off the album, adding, “I can’t wait to share it with everyone.”

Since her run on American Idol, Elise said she’s definitely had quite a few doors opened for her. Not only did she sing the National Anthem for David Beckham’s last professional soccer game, but she had her own float in NYC’s Columbus Day Parade and opened for blues legend B.B. King back in April. Not bad for someone who's only been off the show for two seasons!

As for her time on American Idol, Elise said she learned to trust herself and her intuition, calling it a “great step for exposure.” Oh, and of course, she said meeting Stevie Nicks was pretty great, too!

Will you buy Elise’s debut album?
