It's the moment we've been waiting all summer for: America's Got Talent 2013 moves to Radio City Music Hall, and the live shows begin! Here's our recap of the wild Season 8 Quarterfinals Week 1 performance episode.
Alexanderia the Great Escapes From an Underwater Straight-Jacket
Fresh Faces Dance to “I Love It”
This season has been a blast so far, and it should get even more intense as the live shows begin. Sixty acts have been selected to perform for America's vote, with Howard Stern, Howie Mandel, Mel B, and Heidi Klum offering their feedback.
Among our favorites so far are the Chicago Boyz Acrobatic Boys and their human jumprope; opera singer Branden James; 19-year-old juggler and danger enthusiast David Ferman; and 11-year-old pianist and singer Anna Christine, who belted "Don’t Let Me Be Misunderstood." But who will go the distance and get to headline their own Vegas stage show?
We've noticed that there are a surprising number of talented dance troupes this year, including Hype, SensEtion, and Fresh Faces, as they all hope to follow in the footsteps of Season 1 winners Jabbawockeez.
The one act we're not exactly expecting to go very far is the aptly name Tummy Talk and their body percussion routine — but on this show, you never know who will succeed! We just hope The Cobra Kid doesn't send any snakes our way if we don't vote for him.
