All rise! The Court of Public Opinion is now in session — the Honorable Kelly Clarkson presiding.

Kelly, the original American Idol, has been particularly vocal lately about which of her fellow pop stars have class (Selena Gomez) and which are just crass (Miley Cyrus).

After the MTV Video Music Awards on August 25, Kelly tweeted that she had two words for some of the performances, which she of course combined into a hashtag: "#pitchystrippers."

She had already tweeted out love for "Applause," the song during which Lady Gaga stripped at the VMAs, so we're assuming she's referring to Miley's skin-baring rendition of "We Can't Stop."

Two days later, Miley's BFF Cheyne Thomas tweeted that Kelly is just bitter because she's "fat and 30."

Now Kelly has given lofty praise to Selena, writing:

OK, remind us to stay on Kelly's good side.
