With a reported net worth of $250 million, four platinum or multi-platinum albums, a respectable film career, and a steady boyfriend, you wouldn't expect Jennifer Lopez to feel vulnerable about much of anything.
But all that success does not necessarily translate into confidence, as the singer and American Idol judge reveals in the cover story of Cosmopolitan's October 2013 issue.
"The biggest insecurity I had was my singing," she reveals. "Even though I had sold 70 million records, there was this feeling like, 'I'm not good at this.' And while I was married to Marc [Anthony], he helped me get over it … He kept telling me, 'You're the only one holding yourself back from reaching your full potential as a singer. You have to let go.'"
We imagine she did just that while recording her newest album, which is set for release in November. But she's also busy as executive producer of The Fosters, chief creative officer for nuvoTV, mastermind behind new fragrance JLove, and — of course — returning judge for Season 13 of Idol.
