We had assumed that Jennifer Lopez would never, ever, ever be returning to American Idol as a judge. Luckily, she is back, and she's also working on a new track with a surprising duet partner.

J.Lo will be collaborating with Taylor Swift for a new song, according to Us Weekly. The tune is due to appear on Jen's next album, set to be released in early 2014.

"Both of them are huge fans of each other and excited to work together!" a source reveals about the two talented ladies.

Indeed, the two have been spending more and more time together lately. Jennifer stopped by Taylor's recent performance at the Staples Center in L.A. last month, and they teamed up for J.Lo's hit tune, "Jenny From the Block."

"Sang Jenny From the Block with @JLo tonight at Staples Center. STILL FANGIRLING OUT ABOUT IT," Taylor tweeted after the show.

We think it's great that Jennifer is teaming up with a younger artist who has a different style than she does. We think the two of them could sound amazing together, and we can't wait to hear what they come up with!

The big question that remains is: Will Taylor convince J.Lo to write a song about one of Jen's exes? Or will they sing about one of Taylor's, as is T-Swift's style? Between the two of them, there are so many famous exes to choose from!
