Poor Kelly Clarkson. The original American Idol winner lost out on Record of the Year at the 2013 Grammy Awards. She also failed to take home an award for Best Pop Solo Performance.

That’s okay though, Kelly didn’t leave the 2013 Grammy Awards totally empty handed. She walked away with Best Pop Vocal Album of the Year for Stronger! Kelly beat out Pink, Florence and the Machine, Fun and Maroon 5 to nab the coveted award. American Idol alum trumps The Voice judge Adam Levine! Take that usurper reality show!

Kelly somehow managed to get herself stuck to country music star Miranda Lambert on her way up to receive her award. Somehow, that seemed only appropriate for the girl who was introduced to millions of viewers on American Idol Season 1 with the phrase “Cool beans!” Kelly just doesn’t do anything the normal way! Thankfully, she managed to untangle herself, take the stage without further incident, and give an absolutely delightful acceptance speech.

Although she was obviously nervous during her time in front of the mic, Kelly made sure to give a shout out to her family and handsome future husband, Brandon Blackstock. "Thank you so much friends, family, label, my manager,” Kelly said "Thank you so much, my fiancé who is sexy tonight, y'all!"
